Eco-Friendly Event Design
Handmade Small Bites
Hi, we’re Angie and Libby…two friends who once arranged flowers for a friend’s wedding. It was a moment that sparked a grander vision. Since then, our shared interests for beautiful entertaining turned into shared dreams of special moments celebrated in style. Beautiful flowers, beautiful hand-crafted design, and beautiful food seemed a perfect marriage of skills and passion, all in honor of celebrating special moments and spreading joy.
Angie has been baking for as long as she can remember. As her skills and adventurous spirit grew, she continually tried new recipes and techniques. Eventually, she started entering gingerbread competitions and taking classes at Sugar Glider Kitchen, King Arthur Baking Co, and even a semester-long Baking and Pastry Arts class at Holyoke Community College. Most recently, she worked in the UMass Amherst bakeshop. Her education and first career focused on environmental advocacy. Protecting the planet is a deep priority.
Libby’s love of event styling began with her wedding. All of the elements were handmade from the stitched invitations, paper fans, hundreds of feet of up-cycled fringe garlands, florals, signs, thrifted candle holders, and even making her own wedding dress. Libby’s rustic Frida Kahlo inspired Vermont wedding lead to doing invitations, florals, and decor for other weddings through her small creative business Whistling Sparrow Designs. Libby studied costume design, studio art, and early childhood education. She is very excited to bring her background to creating magical unique celebrations while also keeping events low waste and eco-friendly.
